After last issue, Hyoue is still stuck in his demon form for saying something he shouldn't have ever voiced aloud - that he wants to be human. For that, Amane sends him back home - where he sits and broods with the other demons, remembering how he met Amane some years before. During the Red Moon - a once a year thing, wherein the humans of the villain 'hunt' the demons and, if they can, the humans and the demons form a pact with the demon serving the human - the demons are allowed to hunt (and kill) any human outside the village's barrier. When Hyoue finds a little girl in the woods, he becomes annoyed, then curious, a child would be out there by herself. When one of his fellow demons starts hunting the girl, he finds himself protecting her and finds out much later she's the future head of the village and the demon masters - if she can regain her voice. The one-shot at the end of this collected set is adorable and what I remembered from reading this whole collection. Oops? Still a lot of fun.

The fifth book of the series Her Majesty's Dog was amazing. In this book Hyoue and Amane explains it all. The reason of the ''kissing method'' is explained and the answer is just so cute, you could faint from its appeal. The fact that the komioni family tree is explain clears up alot of questions for the readers. For people who love romance, fights against good/evil, and internal conflicts between duty, family, love, and other things I suggest reading this book.

Series Review: He Majesty's Dog is a unique and entertaining manga that is well worth the read. It is funny and lighthearted while keeping a series plot. The characters are amazing as they each have very different personalities that work wonderful together. I definitely recommend giving this manga a try!

This series continues to gain complexity as it goes on; I loved the flashbacks to Amane's childhood here and the look into the koma-oni world. Also, the splash page of young Amane with her Hyoue plushie totally crack me up.

This is where I began to think, "Surely 4hrs of sleep is enough to count 100s of wires and drive for a couple of hours to and from work. I got this! Must finish volume before I can sleep!"

The story continues on its serious bent and we see some lovely flashbacks to Amane's troubled childhood.
