But there's no rest for the wicked, and in a town like Los Allende, you can be sure nobody's going to sleep tonight. From a dirt-poor farmer with something "foul" in his well, to a professor's startling discovery at the local observatory, to a chorus line of reanimated corpses -- Mason's weird world is about to go full-blown crazy, as he peels away another layer of the veneer we call reality in a conspiracy from beyond both time and space. I loved this book as much as Volume One and the art is also out of this world!! This book is a continuing story of a hardboiled and heavy drinking detective with a new case about the suspicious death of an esteemed astronomer. One of my favor parts is the "a chorus line of reanimated corpses"...you just never know where Frank Marraffino is going to take you kicking and screaming in yet another grotesque horror. If you love Lovecraft then you will want to read this series.I loved everything about this book and Volume 1 also...BUT what happened to the series? I can't find Volume 3 or any volumes at all...what is up? If anyone knows anything please let me know and I will contine searching the net. Thank you.Even with just the first two books of the series it is more then worth the read...you won't be sorry.
