I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. The writing style was very unique and gave the book a fresh perspective for story telling. I don't want to give too much away as for plot, but there were some exciting and cringe worthy moments that thrilled my spine. The story was not for the weak of heart or stomach. The characters stayed true to form. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. This was a great momentary grab that gave me a break from some of my more tedious readings.

This is a very short story clocking in at just past fifty pages. Goth Girls Don't Taste Like Chicken starts out a bit slow. The writing style fits pretty much how I assume a goth person thinks. That or a person who is pretending to be goth. Which I suspect is the case with the main character. It’s a quick fun read and I would go so far as to recommend it to anyone who wants an easy fun fiction read. I really enjoyed the book.

I won a copy of "Goth Girls Don't Taste Like Chicken" from a first reads giveaway. I entered for a copy of it because the title was interesting and caught my attention and I wondered why I wouldn't want to read a book with this title. I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but hell, it was free, so if I hated it, I wasn't really losing anything, right? But I didn't hate it... not one bit.It reminded me a little bit of the movie "Waiting..." combined with a conversation with your best friend about a really drunken weekend night. It was a quick read, but every single page was absolutely worth it. It kept me reading, it kept me laughing and yes, it even had me saying "EW!" a few times. One of the best things about this book is that the title is taken directly from a chapter where one of the main characters takes a little revenge on two well deserving restaurant patrons. My only complaint is that it wasn't nearly long enough! Even with more books in the series, I'd love more to each book themselves. I really couldn't wait - before I even finished writing this review, I went to amazon and ordered the second book!

GOTH GIRLS DON'T TASTE LIKE CHICKEN. I mean, how could I NOT read a book with this title?!And, from the words of the narrator himself, as quoted in Goodreads, the description just draws you in: "This is gonna be a story about this time we went to a goth club and almost got killed by some weirdo and then almost killed somebody else, and in the process discovered that goth girls don't taste like chicken. Not one bit"Hillarious! So this goth girl and goth guy randomly get stalked by a weird guy with a chainsaw, then they get harrased by the guy's father at work, so they get revenge by making the father and son find out what goth girls taste like.GROSS! I want to tell what creepy thing happened -- but you need to read it to find out!If you like funny, random, quirky, weird, off-the-wall stuff that makes no sense (in a GOOD way), give this one a shot.

I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway :)First off, how could you not want to read it after seeing the synopsis? Lol. I really enjoyed the illustrations and the story, it was truly unique. I don't know why but I hjad automatically assumed the narrator was a girl, so I felt a little dumb when I realized it was in fact a boy. :POne thing I would have changed... I would have included a picture of the walrus guy with goth girls fingers sticking out of his mouth, that would have been so awesome. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading this and I did my job, lol.I have told people about the book and showed it to my friends, they thought it was pretty cool.

I started reading this book with high hopes. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed. It was extremely short (I read it in about 30 minutes), the narrator is never named, and the grammar, sentence structure and who it itself is written is pretty terrible. It's as if someone is just relaying the story to a friend, but they haven't yet mastered basic English. I liked the actual story; it was really cute and funny. But it's how it was written that caused my low rating. But, I would still take the couple minutes and read it if you have the chance!

It was short and to the point, but very well written. When she served her fingers to the chainsaw man, I was a little shocked that Maddie actually did that. At first, I was shocked then I felt so disgusted about what happened! The man didn't even question what he ate though he mentioned that her fingers didn't taste like chicken.

Reading this felt like a trip through a epic graphic novel. It is short and funny, laced with graphic images and identifiable characters beyond our gothic stereotypes. Take an afternoon to sit down and meet our pithy heroes told from the sidekicks point of view. I look forward to more episodes of the three fingered girl and her best friend who is on his way to college.

This book is just sooo funny that I nearly cried laughing. I love the drawings and the way the writer writes his books. There very few gothic books and its nice to have not one but two and soon to be three books. I've spent nearly every night reading them over and over. There just amazing. I love them to bits.

I read this book on Kindle for PC. It was all right; some of it was funny, but the narrator is rather clueless (refers to baseball players as guys wearing numbered pajamas, for instance). It's intended to be rather light-hearted, and it is. It was easy to breeze through, though, and the art was cool (much like what is pictured on the cover).

I didn't know what to expect from this book, but the title intrigued me to start! It totally brought me back to when I was a teenager and if this book was available back then, I know it would've been my favorite! It was a fun read, some parts were relatable and I had a bit of nostalgia thinking of my best friend in high school, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
