This novelette is brilliant. Greenman, the director, is abusive to the actors and crew, and, after three leading men either are fired or walk off set, the movie is without a lead actor again. Enter an unknown face in Hollywood with no experience acting. No one has ever heard of him. The story is told from the POV of Andrew, another actor on the set. His hobby is getting to know and understand unusual people. And the new leading man, Tristen, captures his attention to the point of obsession. He must find out what makes Tristen tick because there are so many things that are just not normal. Such as Tristen's ability to look at the script and know his lines instantly. I was absorbed along with Andrew. I also needed to find out – Who was this Tristen anyway? I loved the surprise ending. The writing is great and the characters so well-drawn. The author apparently has some experience with the business of making movies. And knows how to write a good story. My opinion is you will love it. PHOENIX

A wonderful Hollywood love story! I just finished this story and feel a great satisfaction. D.E.Lamont has a wonderfully spiritual way with words that evoke transcendent emotions. Once again she spreads her magic dust and tells her tale. It is an entertaining story of a Hollywood in the future. I warmly recommend it.

From my description (no spoilers): In this novelette of the mid-21st century, Tristan, a handsome, charismatic leading man has joined a dysfunctional film shoot in the sweltering grasslands below Malibu Canyon. Despotic director Greenman has fired three previous actors in the role, and actor Andrew is convinced Tristan will be the next casualty. But all of a sudden Greenman is on his best behavior with everyone. Not even Michelle, Tristan’s leading lady, notices anything odd – but she’s in love with him. Obsessive character collector Andrew is the only one who notices something is not quite right, and goes to extreme lengths and alienates himself from everyone to discover what is really going on.I'm releasing this for Kindle first - which you can enjoy on virtually every kind of device, including your computer - just download the free Kindle application and you'll have color Kindle books to enjoy.
