Wow, what an interesting commentary on war. I don't know if it was meant to be, but i took away a few lessons. This book is an interesting look into the deep costs of war and the possibilities of how it will be conducted in the future. The world seems to be very deep, though it is only hinted at in this book. If you like books on the human mind and its ability to continue functioning under great stress, or science-fiction stories about how wars will be conducted in the future this book just may be for you. The content was compelling and immersive, i found myself rooting for the characters. Warning, don't love anyone too much. War it seems is hell even with better technology in the future.

The real price for war.The loss of one's humanity is the real price society pays for war. In 89 pages Mr Carstens was able to show through his books characters the pain, suffering, and anguish both male and female warriors must endure in combat. This short book isn't for those who relish war as the ultimate turn on. This is for the chicken-hawks and others who have no clue or qualms of sending you, others, or I to fight their WARS. Nuff said!!!
