I finished this in just one sitting! I love the pacing because it's very realistic unlike other stories that the guy and girl fell instantly. There are "no" unnecessary dramas. Just the right amount of it. I would like to read more of this author's work. How I wish to meet someone like "Dairy" who's a bit snobbish in the beginning. So far, this is the best realistic/contemporary story I've read this year.

Completely loved this book, unlike every other romance story where the characters fall in love in the first two chapters and it's just unwanted drama the rest of the story, this was more the characters falling in love through the book.It makes your stomach flip, your heart clench painfully wishing for a marriage like that.It makes you believe in love and makes you fall in love as the story goes on. Would read it a million times without anything bad to say (except, can I get a Darius too?)

"1.3 stars" This book was absolutely crappy. The grammar was atrocious. The use of language was terrible. The story was absolutely, completely and utterly predictable. The author had no sense of direction and constantly contradicted herself. Ivory's character I believe was destined to remain 20 forever. She was 'almost 21' before she got married and even after 6 months spent apart from Darius(her husband) and quite some time spent with him, she still remains 20. I mean girl, if you have the secret to immortality then you gotta share. Her age does however thankfully change during the epilogue. Also we get the impression that Darius is a spoilt dumb blonde(figure of speech people, no offense intended). He wears dress shoes and suits to beaches, has no idea what cotton candy or a carnival is (I mean do you honestly expect us to believe this shit?) and despite being a hard core businessman, cannot tie a tie(this is clearly the result of amnesia after marriage since he was always impeccably dressed when he was at odds with his wife). Also what is the deal with James(the ex)? At the start of the book, he's a poor orphan (she believed this for four years while they were together) and then suddenly, he's the son of a rich socialite( Seriously?!) Hes also ugly, skinny, insecure, dresses like a pimp, drowns himself in cologne and has no self respect or class. And yet you still loved him and were with him for four years you miserable hypocrite (aren't you the bitter ex)! And I won't even try and explain what's going on with their parents. You're probably smart enough to figure that out if you're unfortunate enough to read the book... or not. Half of the story is spent bullshitting the readers. Do you really expect us to believe that she was married to a guy for six months and still didn't know what he looked like (note increasing crappiness). Also, if they're so rich, why do Adrian and Ivory eat like impoverished street urchins. Add to that the fact that the romance is spectacularly unbelievable (writing such a lifeless romance takes mad skills ladies and gentlemen 4) and the characters have the maturity and emotional depth of cardboard. Nonetheless, I somehow slogged through this miserable excuse for a book in the hopes of finding a saving grace as indicated by the rave reviews. I was however severely disappointed and obviously misdirected by several wattpad fans of this book who wouldn't know a good book if it hit them in the face while tied to an anvil. As for the person who gave this book '1.5 frustrating stars', I say amen to that sister. Had I listened to you, I wouldn't have wasted hours of my life reading this monstrosity.

4 Sweet and Entertaining Stars!I thought this was quite a fun and enjoyable read. As long as you don’t over analyze all the details of the story and just enjoy the ride… ;)It starts with Ivory finding out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her all the time. Brokenhearted and all, enters her overbearing mother who forces her to marry Darius to prevent competition between their businesses and to honor a five-generation-old deal that took place between their ancestors. In other word, it’s an arrange marriage between business rivals. ;)To cut the story short, she married Darius, their marriage started off cold, then they started spending time together and got to know each other, and got closer… Then her douche of an ex returns in the picture… add to the equation her crazy BFF, Rose, and, last but not the least, Darius insanely funny cousin Adrian… Ivory’s supposedly boring life just got more crazier and exciting! I really enjoyed the humour of the story… Ivory has a very likeable character… she is born rich but is down to earth and unspoiled. Darius on the other hand I thought was a lost cause in the beginning, but then there are hints that he is more than what meets the eye. It’s too bad that I am not able to read Darius POV or get to know him more. He is, to the end, still a mystery.. But, despite all that, I find myself warming up to him. But Adrian, Darius cousin, really stole most of the show here. I thought he was hilarious. I find myself enjoying Ivy and Adrian’s antics, I thought they were amusing. Story wise, it does miss context…. but entertaining wise, I thought it was sweet and funny.. Quite endearing really. :)Review is also posted here :

**1.5 Frustrated Stars**This book was my first by N.K. Pockett and to say I just picked it up randomly would be a lie. I liked its blurb and was really excited to read it as it was obvious it's HEA and what could go wrong with a HEA, right?Nope, definitely wrong!I couldn't even wrap my mind around some of the moments in this book and most of the time I kept thinking of DNFing it but hey I still finished it..Yay to me!!I liked the beginning of the book and it captured my interest for a while there but by sixth chapter I was seriously getting frustrated. The hold their parents had on both of them was seriously getting on my nerves. As theirs was not a marriage of love so I was hoping for laughing moments or casual bickering hell even fighting would have been okay but indifference towards each other for so long, made me bored.I wouldn't say I hated Ivory but I didn't like her either. Yeah, she mentioned she used to be a headstrong girl but how could you suppress your nature completely. She couldn't even stand up to her mother who in fact was a robot or seems so, I didn't like her too not even a little bit but why am I giving her any importance by mentioning her? Okay, back to the main point..Ivory didn't want to get married but because of the circumstances she couldn't deny her mother.Darius, the king of nonchalance, okay not the king but he totally owned the title for 5-6 chapters. Trusting your wife is one thing and leaving her alone with some creep while off to complete your ‘Important’ work is downright insulting. He certainly was not going to make to my BBF’s list by then.Even now he’s nowhere near the top ones but by the end at least I was able to stand him.Darius came home after six months of their marriage and both of them didn’t have any kind of contact between them in those months. After coming back home, what made him decide to go on a vacation was not elaborated but you didn't hear me complaining. For me their time together alone was sounding a promising one and it was turning out to be and I would be honest I was seriously hoping for a more get to know each other with some steamy sexy scenes but Nope..nada not even a single kiss by then..:(To say I was disappointed would be an understatement and what was more unexpected was for their parents to be at their cottage out of the blue trying to check out the situation between them and once again controlling their lives.Ivory was taught to act like a lady, sure, but there has to be limit for everything. You can’t ask your daughter to just get up and be reading for a ball, fever be damned.Adrian was Darius’s cousin and I liked him for some part of the book. Though Ivory’s friend Rose was mentioned in the book but she wasn’t being involved by author much and frankly most of the time I forgot about her.I tried reading every line believe me I did but some of the pages still get flipped with only the dialogues being read.I certainly would not be reading any more books by N.K. Pockett at least not anytime soon. Maybe I’ll the next book by her.Though I’m not gonna recommend this book to anyone but if you wanna try it, Hope you enjoy reading this book ♥♥

Now normally if I don't finish a book, I don't rate it as I think it's unfair but this time I have no choice but to give it a 1 star rating to reduce the average rating. This book has an average rating of 4.37 which really, really baffles me. It's misleading and by rating and writing this review I hope to stop my fellow readers from falling into the same trap as me.The main character, Ivory, is ridiculous. She's 20 but you would never tell from her behavior. My four year old cousin is more mature! She's from this affluent family and has been getting 'lady' lessons yet she didn't even have basic manners or etiquette. Her husband is apparently some hot-shot CEO but he has just finished his degree, like just right now. Okay, okay, let's assume he is some business protege or was born with an amazing business acumen and he doesn't need a measly degree to become a CEO, then why the hell is he so damn stupid?! He doesn't know what a carnival is, what candy floss is and never seen a sausage roll before. Where has he been living - under a rock? He leaves his wife with a guy who is obviously a pervert, I thought businessmen had a good sense of judgement? And lastly the premise. I am a fan of arranged / contract / marriage of convenience but their reasons for getting married was just absurd! Please save yourself frustration and multiple WTF's per page and just skip this book. Don't let the average rating suck you in! I repeat, don't fall for it!

I read this book on Wattpad, it seems like it ended forever ago. Now it's getting published?! So proud and excited for the author, without her time and effort we wouldn't have this amazing story to view. Anyway, the fast paced, sweetly romantic, and comedy packed book was the highlight of my day when I would look at the notifications on my kindle and realize that it was updated!I love Dairy and Aluminum, but especially Dairy, can I get one of those?

This book was amazing, it made me feel like I was there all the time. The time frame was great, slow, you fall in love while they do. I love how the main hero isn't like cliché guys throwing punches just to show how strong he is, very few time he takes on a fight which makes it even more amazing. The best thing about this book was definitely the nicknames they had. Brilliant

6/5 stars ( it deserves a million)Whilst there are some negative views on this book below - regarding "1.5 frustrated stars" I think the person who wrote that review has is stupid, or has not read the book - as they themselves said they brushed over it. The best part about the story was that it was a change, perfect for a cold winter day, with a hot drink cuddling up and dreaming we could get our own Darius. The slow pace was realistic, it was not like every other novel where the man says I love you and gets her in bed by the 3rd chapter, no, sure it takes half the novel for them to finally kiss, but it's beautiful. When they kiss you cry and feel it in your bones. When they smile, your stomach flips and the cute moments are enough to make you wish that men like Darius existed. I think whoever wrote that 1.5 review is utter bullshit and should be shamed to write a review AFTER saying them self that they didn't read the book thoroughly, of course one is states to their own opinion but that was just a horrible review black marking this novel that deserved much more credit. Compared to other novels, this one is utterly beautiful It is not about two people trying to change each other, its about acceptance. It really shows how you should be yourself and people will love you for who you are, even though it takes time, after all apples don't grow on trees overnight. To be brutally honest, I would recommend this book to anyone, and I really think you should read this beautiful novel.

Simple, sweet, and enchanting. This book isn't what usually appeals to me, but this sweet and sensitive journey of "aluminum" and "Dairy" will give you a run for your money. Dont believe me? Well you better because this book can show you that opposites dont have to attract, they just have to stay. A snobbish rich man who is confused about the world of love and a young carefree woman with bitter encounters with the exact same world. If you're looking for a (somewhat) drama-free and (a little) fresh book, then look no further, as this is the one for you.

This book is amazing. I started this book when it only had 5 chapters on Wattpad and since then I haven't been able to put it down. The author has made this book one of my favourites and I am so glad she wrote it. This book has a great mix of reality and romance and the plot and the characters bring it all together to make you feel as though you were there every part of the way. To sum it up, this book was sweet and hilarious, defiantly a perfect afternoon read. This is a book you just need to have!

I couldn't finish this book. It was just too unrealistic. Wannabe perfect heroine with all the qualities seemingly just so “trying to be Mr. Darcy” could fall for her.I read it because it had so good rating and I understand that some people may like it, but for me it was just.. Bad. Spoilers!Pros-That these people don’t exist.. Okay I’m joking… or am I? -Yeah yeah nice of them to gradually fall in love yada yada yada.- some funny momentsAnd now everyone’s favorite:Cons-how can be with someone for 4 YEARS and know NOTHING about them..-The reason for why they had to get married was just ridiculous... I mean wtf??- Ivory says in the beginning that it's the 21. century, thank you Ivory for letting us know, if you hadn’t I would have thought it was set in the fucking middle ages, forced marriage and all that shit. - Darius was really just a jerk sometimes, I am tired of authors making excuses for bad behavior in heroes for just being “misunderstood”. I thought it very immature of him to act the way he did, just be nice to people, it’s not that hard.- Just Ivory’s character! Her constant eye rolling, childish behavior, her going to med school and yet she couldn’t say hypothermia… I mean sorry but I’m not buying it that you have been studying your ass off to go to med school but still say hyperthemicia, and of course fucking Darius had it right (because he is perrrrfect). I also felt her constant jabbering about her being the best in every sport very tiresome and it was like the author was saying: my heroine is beautiful, hot, clever (going to med school (hah you wish), really cool because she plays every sport and played hockey with the boys for four years, strong minded and... did I mention cool? I felt all these qualities were only there so fucking Darius would fall in love with her. And why is she telling us all these things? That’s because nearly nothing in the character's behavior suggests it. If Ivory is so strong minded why can’t she just tell her family to hire some lawyers and find another less medieval way of having good relationship between companies or why did she not just keep studying for med school? Who says that marrying a CEO would mean being a 18th century housewife. But no, the author thinks she is a feminist by making her character stubborn and childish, because that my friend is sexy version of feminists ;)-The fucking seafood, just fucking say: I’m sorry, this all looks very nice but I’m allergic to seafood. Just lie Ivory goddammit! It would have spared so many the agony of reading about it. - The spineless dad, you don’t do stuff like this to your children -The mother, why did she act like she did?? There must be a reason! (maybe there is an heartfelt moment later in the book where the woman explains why she hates her daughter, but I wouldn’t know, I gave up)- Sentences like: I thought dad had the pants in the family.. Just don’tThank you for reading this review. I’m sorry if there are some grammar mistakes in here, English is my second language.I also didn’t finish the book so maybe some of the things I complained about improved later on. Have a wonderful day!P.s also if you would like to read a good romance that is sweet but not crap <:^) The Bookshop on the Corner

This was a good read, both hero and heroine had some annoying parts but I ended up liking them at a good amount.Darius was one of those heroes you really don't understand in the beginning of the book but in the back of your mind you know that he's going to end up being a great hero. Has for Ivory OMG sometimes she acted like a child I wanted to slap her and in her mind was on two thing sleeping and eating. But She was very funny when she was with Darius's cousin Adrian they cracked me up. And when it came to Ivory's mother she was awful she definitely wasn't a good parent she should've never been a mom. But what I don't get is why Ivory's father let her mother do that to her. He may of loved her but he definitely didn't protect her.Overall I enjoyed the book the ending made up for all there stupidity.{MY LIKE SCALE}Romance: 3.5/5 (Only in mid story almost to the end they didn't like each other much in the beginning but I saw that ivory wanted more but Darius was keeping her at arms length)Drama: 3.5/5 (They just made my head hurt I just wanted them to stop being so stupid with each other)Cover: 3/5 (Okay Cover)Ivory "Aluminium": 4/5 (she was an annoying heroine but she also had some funny moments) Darius "Dairy": 4/5 (I really didn't think I was going to like him in the beginning or even the middle but he definitely changed my mind and he got a little sweeter with Ivory) Writings: 4/5 (It was a good story)Humour: 4/5 (It had some funny moments Adrian was hilarious)Hotness: 2/5 (Wish there was more hotness just kissing I really thought that there was going to be more but whatever I didn't mind much)HEA:(view spoiler)[ 5/5 (It was a great ending for Dairy and Aluminium) (hide spoiler)]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Actually, it was a strange story and difficult to rate. The pair started off as complete strangers, forced to marry and caring nothing for each other. As time went by, they had to live together and learn to be intimate. It wasn't easy at all.The most bizarre thing in this book is that, while both of them are very young (21,25), sex is out of the question. Why? Apart from very few kisses, they seem almost victorian. How can this happen in a contemporary romance?Could it be that the author is a prude, maybe too religious? I hope not because, if it is so, I'll stay away from her books in the future.

Well. .what a different kind of love story.I enjoyed it and it was good especially hot hot .This story was different how it started arranged problem there but sometimes I felt like parts were missing. Sometimes never fully explain characters more. then going back a few months then back to present. All in all a good story but sometimes a bit jumbled so that is why 4 stars.

Read this book on wattpad.I loved probably all of the characters and the development of the relationship between Darius and Ivory at the perfect pace which the majority of romance books fail to get right because it either drags or is unrealistic. It wasn't a tense read but it was humorous and adorable with the way Darius, Ivory and Adrian interacted. The personality of the characters remained constant and stood out. It was a light read and I would definitely recommend this book.

Ivory and Darius (sometimes called Aluminum and Dairy)Hard to believe that your family could make you marry an absolute stranger but that's what happens here. Far fetched but if you can swallow the premise the story of these two getting to know each other is good and touching. They are two very decent twenty somethings that come from money and they live like it. Fun to see how they both evolve. My question is if both families knew Ivory was the first girl in four generations and they both were aware of the Marriage Agreement, why did these two people not meet until the day they were married? Why didn't the families try to get them together their whole lives?I read this on a Fire Kindle, I don't know if it was a Kindle problem but this whole book had weird formatting. Nothing to give away that the next paragraph was a change in location or time or character POV. There was a small box on the left side to indicate a new chapter but you really had to be paying attention to realize it was there. Quite a few times I was pulled out of the story because it didn't make sense with what had just gone before only to find that little box indicating a new chapter. No misspellings that I remember but lots of word reversals.

This book is God damn fantastic that i cant gush enough! LITERALLY. When i first joined wattpad it was the first book i ever read there and the book raised my reading standards.I would literally read chapter to chapter because i just couldnt hold back my excitement.Darius is the character i fell in love with so so much that i used 'darian' name as the name in my own story i posted. Lol Because I couldn't use the same name there could be no other character like darius (not even of my own story) I loved the boat scene, i loved the hotel scene, i loved their bickering, the trust darius showed knowing perfectly well about james. This book gave me the meaning of how a relationship is supposed to be.You love, you fight, you trust and you stay together despite of thousands of flaws in your partner (because they were truly opposite haha) Ah i can never stop rambling when it comes to marriage by law!LOVED IT ALWAYS HAD ALWAYS WILL.This book is a must my fellows! Dont miss it

I thought it was a beautifully written book. From the beginning I was scared it was another regular blind marriage and forced one too. I was definitely turning pages after that. The love grew so fast and I remember this book for years to come and also the game that came out was very fun. My favorite was when her called her all different names and she was upset about it. My other favorite was the ending and I fell in love. I would definitely love to reread this book again! Amazing author and book. Must read
