This series is absolutely just plain adorable.I was looking through Barnes and Noble's manga selection and my eye caught on this. I decided to take it home since it looked pretty interesting.I was hooked after the first chapter. I actually felt somewhat relatable to Hikage (the main character) as no one would ever notice me when I was in middle school. The series is very sweet and heart-warming. The series has two large volumes along with a bonus stories in the second. I still have a bit of trouble believing that Ema Toyama, the creator of Pixie Pop, which did not, in my opinion, have the best of plotlines or do that well popularity wise, is the one to create such a heart-touching and inspiring series.I suggest this to anyone who is a fan of short, romantic manga.

I love it. It is a little sad but I could relate to it because in a way, I felt it was a story of my life..being a loner and now wanting to be a part of that light and having more online friends than real life friends. Being in a group of friends really does create this warm feeling in you.

Minus 1 bintang karena mengandung cowok-populer-yang-suka-sama-cewek-nggak-populer dan cinta segitiga. This review are for the entire volumes:Jadi center ceritanya ada di gadis pemalu bernama Hikage Sumino yang terlalu ngenes sampe nggak disadari keberadaannya sama temen-temen sekelasnya.

Covers Chapters 1-5See full review @ Katie's CornerYou may know her most popular work: Love Missions, which is still being published. I remember I wanted to find something cute and romantic to read, not too much suspense, but with a good portion of mystery behind the characters. And well I found this one. I finished it in one day and had this stupid grin on my face. Okay I was a bit disappointed that she ended up with Hinata, but well, can’t do anything bout it.Now, let’s get back to the story. The main character – Hikage Sumino, even though she was a total wimp, she didn’t frustrate me as much as I thought she would. I was actually supporting her and understood all her feeling. I couldn’t really understand all o them, because I have always been noticed. She is one of those kids that are never noticed. She sits at her desk, but even teacher never knows who she is. To sum up everything, she is what you may call a ghost. Her classmates even mistake her name every time. Lonely right? Well, she has two online friends, who always visit her blog and cheer her up: Black Rabbit and MegaPig. Everything starts to change when one of the school idols – Hinata talks to her and says that he had always been looking at her, and that of course he knows her name. Well, he confessed, but what is going to happen to Hikage now? There are a lot of fan girls around Hinata and it is just the matter of time when they start bullying her. But that’s not the only thing keeping those two apart? It appears that Hinata may know who Black Rabbit is. But he is keeping it secret. You will get the right idea from the very beginning. However, the author twists it so much, that you will have doubts about his identity. But the initial guess will be correct, the Black Rabbit is … nope, not telling. But that person will be around our lovebirds and will even try to steal Hikage from HInata. That volume was really heartbreaking.I hope you will find some time to read this cuteness; you will love it a lot.

I AM FINISHED...with volume one.Anyway, I have become a fan of Ema Toyama's!HER ART IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!Anyway, this story is really cute. IT MADE ME SHRIEK IN FANGIRL MODE, AAAAAAAAAAH! (<--Theresa shrieking)Basically, Hikage is a girl who has a ZERO PERCENT CHANCE of being noticed. This fact was exaggerated BEYOND means of exaggeration.I mean the first few pages had her stepping in the middle of the street because there was a car coming and there was a cat on the street. Yes, the car did indeed stop, but Hikage got hit by someone with a bike. That person said he had "only seen the cat".DUDE THAT IS SUCH A HUGE EXAGGERATION THAT I REMEMBERED IT. HIKAGE CANNOT BE THAT INVISIBLE!!!But alas, it just gave a little support for the fact that in that world, Hikage is an invisible being seen by no one.And she just wants to be seen by someone. The story flashes back to when Hikage was a kid, and she was playing hide and seek with some other kids. When she hid, she waited for someone to find her, and she could hear the other kids being found. She waited for a SUPER LONG TIME, and after she knew that no one was going to find her, she sadly went home. (*sniffle)IT REMINDS ME OF FRUITS BASKET when the story flashes back to Tohru and the Fruits Basket game where she was Onigiri----yeah, if you haven't read Fruits Basket, you'll have no idea what I'm talking about.Anyway, in this story, Hikage finds out that she HAS been noticed. It's interesting that the two most popular guys in school, Hinata and Teru, are the ones able to notice her. This story is BEYOND original. Hikage wants to be noticed and found and I have the HUUUUUGEST FEELING THAT THIS STORY WILL TEACH A LESSON ON THAT!So yeah. This book gets four sparkly sparkly stars, AAAAAAAAAAAH!I love original books! This isn't cliche at all!

As I read commentary: I am iffy with this art...the blonde haired kid's hands look so tiny...>.> I do like the blush and sparkly eyes on the MC though--very cute. I can already guess that Megapig and Black Rabbit are those kids in her class...but...eh...let's see, maybe I'll be wrong. >.> The art is getting progressively cuter. Woo!!I really can't believe the meanness of some girls. Hmph. Uwwaahhh!! The kid found her!!! Aww...this is really cute actually. Gah. I love how tears are drawn. They're so...pretty. This is very much becoming prettier for me. Oh...OH...that was a pretty sudden little confession there buddy boy...hope the mangaka goes back and talks about that kid's journey to watching this chick...Ah...falling in love with the kendo kid...typical...but yeah...>.< My boyfriend's a fencer...so I can relate to this actually XDThe introduction of Teru's character--he's a smart one. Also looking out for Sumino. How kind of him. OMGGGG HE'S IN LOVE WITH HER??? CUE THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON!! WHATTTT??? WHEN??? I MEAN, THIS IS CUTE AND ALL--BUT PLEASE MANGAKA, GIVE SOME CONTEXT SOON!!!Omg the feels...is it cliché? Yesss. Is it a bit predictable and fuzzy and fluffy and warm? YESHHH. I SHALL CONTINUE THIS SERIES WITH GUSTO!! The characters are nothing special, but I love fluff!!

It was OK, I guess. I can see why girls say it is a cute manga. It is kind of cute, to be honest. A plain, bullied, lonely girl and the popular, hot guy who fells for her. Not really original, but the art is nice. The thing is, it is impossible not to compare it to Kimi Ni Todoke, who happens to be one of my favorite manga (not only in the Shoujo genre, but in general). The girl.. what was her name? oh, Hikage. (I am sorry Hikage, even I forgot your name!) So Hikage is pretty much ignored by everyone. Unlike Sawako, who was just misunderstood by her dark appearance. The huge and more important difference is that Sawako tries really hard to change her status in school; she wants to be more sociable, have friends, help others. On the other hand, Hikage just gets sad because she can't and it is resigned to her lonely life. She just... mopes. Only when the great Hinata tells her he is on love with her, she decides to change "to be someone who can be near Hinata-kun", which is the lamest excuse ever. And the mean girls who bully her.. the reason of the bullying has been overused in shoujos so many times is tiresome. Girls are jealous because Hinata pays attention to Hikage. While this has been used also in KNT, it was different. I can't say why exactly now.

2.5 StarsI decided to try out this manga, because I have seen it be compared to Kimi ni Todoke. And it kind of is, in a way. But it still disappointed me.I loved the art-- Ema Toyama really knows how to draw shojo! And I did find myself really relating to Sumino, the girl who nobody notices. The thing that angered me so much is how the "other girls" are portrayed in the manga--they are mean, bullies, and extremely jealous people.I liked Kimi ni Todoke because it focuses on how Sawako, an outcast, discovers friendship and love in a realistic and honest way. I'm not saying the manga doesn't have mean girls in it, but it does have nice girls in it, so it all evens out. In Koko ni Iry Yo!, Sumino is literally pushed away by most of the other girls who are purposely being hateful. That makes me extremely mad.I might read the next volumes but I didn't get a good first impression >.< Oh, and sorry of this is typed up messily! I am pretty tired right now...

Sumino has zero presence, no friends, and invisible. She blogs about her daily life, and gets motivation from her online friends. The plot is similar from Kimi ni Todoke except that it has love triangle in it.~~~***~~~I remember reading this when I was in High School. I still like it (& kind of biased haha). This is one of the first shoujo mangas I have read! (view spoiler)[one of the culprits why I got hooked with shoujo! (hide spoiler)] I accidentally saw this because of searching for a Jpop song with the same title. I like it because I'm like Sumino when I was younger. I'm a loner. I think my classmates also thought that they would bother me if they would be friends with me. I just don't know how to make friends. -.- This manga somewhat influenced me to blog after reading the first chapter. (view spoiler)[that's why my blog is like an online diary xD(hide spoiler)]

Koko ni Iru Yo!, or I am Here!, is a manga about a shy middle schooler named Hikage Sumino who has trouble making friends. Her meek nature has kept her in the shadows of her peers, becoming practically invisible at school. As time goes on, Hikage begins a rocky yet happy friendship with two of the most popular boys in school. What I like the most about this series is how a Japanese middle schooler is depicted so accurately. I've worked in Japanese junior high schools, and most students are very shy, just like Hikage. It's a good read for anyone who likes slice of life, drama, and romance.

Awww sometimes i feel like i'm invisble to everyone too! That's why i hate group projects. Poor Sumino-chan. She must be lonely and it makes her happy that somebody actually knows her name. I think i like Hinata-kun better. Haha and woah! Hinata-kun obviously likes her so he confessed. Well, that escalated quickly. XD lolUgh! I hate it when girls get jealous and possessive over their crush then they'll bully the girl that the guy likes. -_- tsk! So immature. So stupid. They should get over it

[Ch. 1-5:]Very cute manga series. I read another work by this mangaka (Mamacolle) and I really liked her other series so I thought I would like this one as well..I feel sorry for the girl and the fact that no one knows her name. Dear Lord.. I mean, even though I'm really quiet, everyone at least knows my name. But Hinata-kun is so nice to her..I wonder who BlackRabbit and MEGAPig is? I thought it might BR might be Toru and MP might be Hinata, but that's too much of a coincidence.

I really enjoy the book even though it is for girl only, but nowaday nobody care about what kind of book it is for. I would recommend this to anyone if they want to read it and is mostly written for middle school and up. I don't really know any book that I could relate this book to so yeah. I like eveything about this book like their drama, the storyline and good expression. This one girl being a ghost to everyone in the world until one day she been found.

WOW ok never really read a manga where one of the lead guys confess to the girl in the second friggin chapter! That was actually really touching & surprising.I like Hinata and also Teru. I mean yes Teru seems cold but he does protect her in his own way. Hinata is so.... NICE. His the guy that everyone loves. Its good so far. I really hope Sumino stands up for herself, her just hiding and not doing anything is getting on my nerves!

I haven't thought to add manga to my goodreads shelves before, I don't know why. So now I'm adding the ones I've read. I haven't read manga in many years now, and I don't remember when exactly I read this one, but I remembering finding it adorable, relatable, and very good, so I'm giving it five stars from memory (I gave it 10 on MAL so I guess that means five here). I'm letting this review speak for all the volumes.

It was really sweet and the art was really well drawn. It had a great story and it ended fantastic. The characters were all very well done, especially Teru and Hikage. It's very heartwarming, but not to the point of being hokey.

di Indonesia judulnya I'm here. Ceritanya ada seorang gadis SMA yang saya lupa namanya yang sepertinya tidak kasat mata bagi orang lain. Dia seperti tidak terlihat dan tidak ada yang menganggapnya ada :( menyedihkan sekali

Review for vol 1-end.It was kind of a predictable storyline and the love in this story isn't as well detailed as it could've been (basically Hinata has no real personality). Nothing really interesting, but cute in it's own way. And unfortunately, I was rooting for Teru!

There's definitely something wrong with their school. Forcing a girl to stop seeing someone is just so rude!! Sumino can do whatever she wants and those haters can't do anything about it!! I'm so pissed off. They're such dumb racists. Sumino don't give up!! Be strong and fight those haters~
