***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!***Rating: 2.5 StarsWhile some people may find this an enjoyable read, unfortunately, I have to say that I did not. I hate writing a review for a book if I didn't enjoy it, but I feel that as a reviewer, it is important to explain the reasoning behind the rating. As hard as I tried, I just could not connect with the character or the story. The main character, Sheila, is the CEO of her father's company, and she is supposedly ruthless and business savvy; however, there were many times when her decisions were not in the best interest of her company. I couldn't understand her choices, and for most of the book she seemed to be bouncing from one man to the next. There was no real connection with anyone, and if I am reading a book that is an erotic novel, I have to be able to feel that pull between the characters. The sex scenes fell a bit flat for me. They were very short, some of the words that were used took me out of the moment, and they seemed to happen in an instant. There was a suspense theme to this book, but again, I was able to figure out who was involved almost from the beginning so it wasn't much of a surprise. There were just too many scenes that I found unbelievable for someone in Sheila's position, or for any person, and it seemed as if things were a bit rushed in some areas while drawn out in others. The ending was very abrupt, and if the author hadn't announced recently that there would be a second book, I feel that it would have left too many questions as is. There were also numerous editing issues, and as this was not the author's first book, that does affect my rating.I sincerely appreciate any author's attempt to put their work out in front of the public. I can only imagine how terrifying and exhilarating that must feel. I didn't necessarily care for this book myself, but I'm sure others will. I feel that with some more character and story development this book could have been improved, and been more enjoyable for all. As of right now, though, I am unable to recommend this book.

Well.....I really do not know where to start with this, But I must say that this author is so AMAZING! She is a great author,I cannot express how much I have enjoyed reading all of her books!!!There is NOT ONE book of hers that I will not recommend to anyone because they all are flattering but I do have to say The CEO is my favorite book!!! Everything in this book comes from the heart, I'm not sure about all you readers out there but I can tell when someone really opens their heart up to a book and their heart just pours/melts into the book....well people I'm here to tell you this author is one of those people! I know myself there is a lot of authors out there that's just awesome but I have to say that Author Niquel has became one of my all time favorites and i would throw any book that I have to the side for her books now! I feel that this book has touched me in some sort of way, it is hard to explain to you people how this book has made me feel, but I will tell you all one thing, if you get a chance to get your hands on this book then I very much so recommend it, It's one of them books that once you start you can't put it down! Also Sheila has some very very surprising news that I myself would never thought would happen, I want to tell so much about this book but I don't want to spoil it for all you readers, but i will say it again if you can get your hands on this i promise you will not be disappointed!!

4.25 Stars!I liked this book. It is much different than I was use too but I love to step outside of the box. This is a new author to me and she has intrigued me so I will be reading more by her. This book was crazy sexy, naughty, suspenseful, mysterious, naughty, steamy, and full of mystery. This is Sheila's story. Sheila is a take charge, high powered business woman who was newly appointed as CEO of her father's business. Sheila knows what she wants and accepts no less. This is true in all of her live, including her love life and lovers. She is ruthless and can move from one man to the next in the blink of an eye. She doesn't have time for a relationship but she has enough game to put most men to shame. Sheila's story is an epic journey in the life of high powered woman that will leave you wanting so much more by the end.Oh Sheila was one bad ass chick. She was ruthless and didn't take any crap from anyone. I loved her loyalty to her father and all that she did to protect what he amassed. Her relationship with Liam was probably the most normal and that was rocky at best. I hope this story continues as I still want more.I recommend this book.Review Post---> http://reneeentress.blogspot.com/2015...

The CEO by NiquelAt 27 years old, Sheila Quinn is the newest CEO of Quinn National. Sheila doesn’t let anything stand in the way of what she wants. She is a strong woman who takes charge in every aspect of her life. Sheila runs into a few bumps in her both her personal life and running her company. A chance run-in with the man she almost married a few years ago leaves her head reeling. Emotions were not something she dealt with, so Sheila tries to focus on what she can control: sex. There is a bit of mystery and deceit laced into this story as well that will lead you to an amazing, but surprising ending. This book reads so smoothly that you become more and more wrapped up in Sheila’s story. It is impossible to put down—you have to keep reading to find out what happens next. This was the first book I have read by Niquel and I definitely recommend it. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!*I received an advance copy from the author for an honest review.*Reviewed by Barbi S. for The Art of Romance Promotions

Rating: 3.5Hmmm. A strong, confident female CEO is a change from the norm. Sheila is hard working and taken over her dad's company and is confident in her sexuality. At times the story felt stilted, with something major happening at work and instead of resolving it, she would go out with one of the many men wanting her attention. An impressive social life for someone so busy in work.It was a quick read and was at times a hot read. I found Sheila to be a cold individual, who would do pretty much anything to get her own way. There are lots of obstacles standing in the way of her success and a slightly dysfunctional family. It was an interesting read and it was an enjoyable way to pass a couple of hours. Being a woman in a man's world is not easy, especially when the men are determined to use your sexuality to get what they want. Sheila is certainly a character that takes no messing in that department and equally turns the tide and uses her sexuality to get what she wants.

Wow The Ceo was a great read. Shelia is a strong no holds barred characters. She is beautiful, confident and cocky. I wasn't sure what I thought about her at first. She oozes confident and always gets what she wants. Shelia runs Quinn National, which is an oil company. She wears her boss pant very well. There are quite a few men that are in her life. Their is her ex, Liam, her intern Ryan, the new VP Jack, and Keith. I'm not really sure what Keith is beside a little creepy. I loved Liam. He is so sweet and nice but he may be too nice for Shelia. Ryan and Shelia seem to have fun together and she also has fun with Jack. As things unfold there are a couple of crazy twists and what part everyone plays becomes very clear. OMG the ending. Wow, it leaves you wanting more. I do hope we get more Shelia.

Wow! That's the best I can say... WOW! When I read the blurb and decided to read this book, I kind of knew what I was getting into, but once I started, there was no stopping. The book was filled with sexy men that have secrets and a strong, independent woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. The story captures you from the start, getting to know Shelia Quinn and what it is that drives her to succeed. As the story progresses, you can't help but wonder what will happen next. Once the truth start to come out, Shelia makes her move to protect those she loves and avenge those she's lost. This book packs a powerful punch. I can't wait to see what happens next and how Shelia will deal with those left that are out to harm her.

WOW What a story!!! I've read her other stories but they didn't prepare me for this book. Author Niquel outdid herself with this one!! Sheila is The CEO and never for one moment think she's won't do what has to be done for the company or her family. This is one tough gal who enjoys sex and shots when not at the office but don't think she's easy because she's always in charge. This book will have you on the edge of your chair wondering what was going to happen next and what does well lets just say make sure you're bottom isn't on the very edge of your seat, don't want you to fall off. Get ready for a story unlike anything you've read before.

I was provided an ARC of this book. This is the first book I have read by this author. I liked the premise of a strong female CEO that took charge. The story lacked depth and flow for me. There were character inconsistencies that I couldn't get past. The best way to describe my feeling while reading was jumpy. Sheila would start to confront someone on their attitude or actions but there was no follow through, she would storm off and then suddenly it was the next day. This story was lacking for me.

Review - The CEO by Author Niquel4 StarsSheila Quinn is the CEO on Quinn National. She's a take charge, no nonsense, strong woman. Don't mess with her! She loves her family and her company above all things and will stop at nothing to keep them safe! This is a sexy, suspenseful read A roller coaster ride of ups and down as Sheila battles to protect her company at all cost, including some not so "on the up and up" moves. Recommended read! **RECEIVED A COPY**The CEO was WOW amazing. I was hooked on page one all the way to the end. I like the different twist and turns, it really kept me on my toes. Sheila is a feisty woman and I would never want to cross her. She has so much going on in her life and things going on with her family. This is the first book I have read from this author and WOW, she is fantastic and brilliant. I don’t want to give away the story but this book is a MUST READ. I think it was well written and fast pace. Great Job! Overall I give this book 5 AMAZING stars!!

This was an easy read, greatly written and has a lot of emotion! Shelia is the CEO of her fathers company and she loves what she does, but she has needs that only a man can fill! She doesn't want a relationship due to a bad breakup and she finds herself in a heap of trouble and when you find out how and who you'll be surprised!

Girl power!!!I really liked this book. A woman with all the power, she did what she wanted and took what she wanted from who ever she wanted. The only thing that I didn't love was the male characters, to weak for me . I did like where the story went though I didn't see that coming.

"Life will always be full of unfinished roads, but it's up to you to pave the perfect path to fulfill your destiny."Cold, detached and willing to be do anything to ensure her success Sheila uses her feminine wiles to get what she wants. Taking over her father's company as CEO she uses everything in her arsenal to make the business a success. When money goes missing from the business account is everything as it seems or is something going awry? The CEO is a fast easy read, Sheila is not likeable and I have to say a bit of a slut. Although we learn why she gas grown cold I don't think it's enough justification for her actions. Redemption is offered yet she continues on a path of self destruction. She let's her brother down and tries to balance the scales by building a relationship with her sister. Her motives, thoughts and reasoning is merely hinted at so it's difficult to be embrace her and see things from her point of view. Her bed hopping and blatant sexuality made her difficult to like as she's too easy to get into bed. I struggled to accept her sexual liberation...she's not happy with herself! Surrounded by wealth, beauty and success Sheila left me feeling cold. The plot line was fast paced and was intriguing. Con men and a bid to wipe her out came from the unexpected player and the twist at the end had me wishing for the next book. I neither loved it or loathed it it's a story to read if you want something that is what it is. The author shows promise with some really interesting ideas and plot twists. A three and a half star read.

I enjoyed this book because it's the first book I've read where the female is what they call the alpha male. Sheila is strong, gets her way and she's in control with the men in her life. There are many men in her life but which one can she trust. There is some sad scenes in the book but through it all Sheila is strong thought out the book. I liked that Sheila took things into her own hands and got the job done. There's many twists and turns and it keeps you guessing thought out the book and wanting more. The ending was surprising and I do hope that the author will continue the story I'd like to see more of Sheila.

Sheila Quinn is the CEO of Quinn National taking over from her father. She is Hard Core has Trust issues and it shows. Sheila is very strong women and uses her sexuality to get what she wants. This was just a okay read for me , I didn't ever connect with Sheila she was a little too hard for me . I find that the story was kinda jumpy to different parts. I love a good strong female but to me Sheila was a Witch. She has many guys that are interested in her and she sleeps with them all. The end was very abrupt and ended with a bit of a surprise. Overall I was not a fan.

She ends up taking over her fathers company. She is not someone to mess with. She has been around the block a bit and has no problems sleeping with a different guy every night. The story was good but I just couldn't really get into it. I felt like there was a lot going on. Who wouldve thought it was going to end like that.

It only took me a few hours to knock this book out. Author Niquel had a great premises laid out for us. She had a very dominate leading lady who had to deal with solving not only her work issues but handing her family business. When times became tough, everyone looked to her leading lady to solve the issues. For some reason, I just could not bond with the heroine Sheila Quinn. And when this happens I just cannot connect with the story in a way I truly like to. It does not mean this is a bad story. Yes, Sheila was strong, independent, and had a wicked humor. But to me as much as she told us she was this smart business savvy woman she missed some very keen clues that were right in front of her. Two of the clues that she ignored should have had her chomping at the bits to figure out and look into. And most definitely a CEO ears perking up and asking some serious questions. Another thing that left me guessing was the ending. Was that a cliffy or just an ending with a bang? I finished and was a little confused. There was so much more I could’ve seen happening there.Sheila is one of the youngest CEOs in the business at a young 27 years of age. She has the entire company, her father, and the board watching her like a hawk. She needed to take the company to that next level. Throughout the book there were obstacles and things going on that Sheila had to work through to get her to the next level. One of my favorite things about this book was that Sheila was promiscuous. She loved sex and had no qualms about getting her fill when she needed that release. I loved that about her. She took charge and afterwards left with a smile on her face. In most books the writers make the men dominate, powerful, and loaded with money. It was a nice change to read the roles reversed.

This book offered so much more but just failed to deliver on the overall story and to follow through on many of the tendrils of the story. The writing was stilted and the chapters were short and so choppy that I was left wondering what had happened at the end of most of them. This is a shame as the premise of the story was good especially after all the male CEO stories out there but as is often the case the character of a female CEO is offered up as just being a nasty bitch to everyone.Sheila becomes one of the youngest CEO’s in the country as she takes over the family business from her father. She is feisty and doesn’t take any prisoners both in her work life and personal life but there are very blurred lines between the two as Sheila thinks nothing of using her womanly assets to get the upper hand in business. She is all business with no friends mentioned and is estranged from her siblings, the only really relationship she has with anyone is with her father but again there is very little interaction between them, as such it is really difficult to get an angle on the personality of Sheila.Frankly I found it difficult to keep up with her bed-hopping between numerous men, I think it was four ,or was it five, with no emotional involvement involved and most it seemed were to help her business wise. These different scenes just never tied together in any way that was clear to me as a reader but I feel they did to the author and so to her character as we got snippets of insights to things that we hadn’t seen occur but through the characters thoughts which again added to the writing feeling disjointed.I have no idea if this is a first book in a series or not as it is not indicated in the book, but the book just ends rather abruptly in the middle of a scene that again doesn’t follow through to its full fruition as with most of the storylines.

WOW I did not expect that ending !! So Sheile is super feisty and a pretty bad A$$ businesswoman. She is not lacking in power but she does use this as a mask to hide her once wounded heart. Out of the 3 siblings she was the chosen one to take over the family business. ON her way to making big changes she is faced with many hurdles and her journey is not lacking in the sex department. We get to see how she works and also see a little bit of her real self. There is plenty of drama and also heartache. I knew someone was up to no good but I honestly had no clue it was going to turn out the way it did. I had a guess of who the rotten egg was but I honestly didn't think there were so many !! I look forward to more , that last scene WOW , crazy , a little sad but HOLY WOW.Sheila will use herself if she has to to get what she wants. Now faced with her ex-Liam , the new intern-Ryan and her new VP Jack she is juggling many emotions and many decisions. Something weird is going on and she cannot put her finger on it. Who can she trust and who is out to get her. Liam wants her back , Ryan seems to be laying claim , watching her every move and Jack well he is all about a good time. Then she sets her sights on a guy who may be the key to taking the company to new heights. Sheila has some hot men !! Once she starts looking into things after her family suffers a huge loss you won't believe what comes out !! Trying not to spoil just go read this !! Great start to a story although I am unsure what we will get next , all I know is that I CANNOT WAIT !!

I didn't read the blurb on this book. I just jumped in! I don't know what I was expecting, but it was anything other than what I got! What a great great read! First, I was not expecting the main character to be a woman (guess I've read too many hot dominant male CEO books), second I was not expecting this woman to be so Bad A! She was just so cool! I think I might have a girl crush! This book was written exquisitely! The characters were deep and well developed and even though I have Nothing NOTHING in common with Ms. Quinn, I found myself drawn to her and able to emphasize with her decisions. I love strong female leads, but this one is probably one of the best yet! I just felt empowered while reading! On top of the girl power solidarity I felt, this book delivered a story that just held me captive! I loved the way it played out! So different then anything I've read! Niquel is new to me, but if her other books are anything like this one she may have a new fan!!

4 StarsThe CEO by Niquel is a standalone novel. It's the first book I've read from this author and I have to say I was completely surprised. When I read the blurb, I wasn't too sure how I felt going in-But I am so glad I did. Sheila Quinn is the CEO of Quinn National. Once her dad retired, she stepped right into his shoes. Sheila gets her way-no matter what she has to do to get it. She’s had her heart broken which has made her into someone who doesn't want a relationship at all so she just uses men for pleasure. But when her ex Liam comes back into the picture, she feels out of control. Throw in an intern and a VP and you get to see how strong she really is. This book has some twists and turns I didn't see coming. I really enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to reading more from this author. Niquel did a fantastic job with the characters and making Sheila a strong feisty woman.

2.5 stars. When I started the story, I had one impression of the CEO. She was young, independent and a heroine that I could cheer for. The writing style was good, and it started off well. I didn't mind her sleeping around for pleasure. She seemed bold and able to hold her own in the business surrounded by men. Then there was the sleeping around for business and other ruthless behavior that I was not expecting. I continued to read hoping for something better to occur, but it didn't. This is definitely not a book I would have read or bought if I had known that (beyond the sample that I read) it was headed in a different direction than I thought the author would have taken it. She's an anti-heroine to me.This may be for those looking for a 'dark' read. The dirty side of business with a female in charge.

Wow!!! Just wow!!! I opened this book and then eat up the pages until every word was gone. Kind of like a maneater, which is what I'm going to call Sheila Quinn the heroine of this story. And I love it,every word of it!!! Sheila knows what she wants and knows how to get what she wants and whether it's right or wrong she gets it. And there three things that are important to her family, her business and money. She has also learned to be hard in life, she's not always been this way but when love let's you down you have to shake it off and build yourself back up. I love seeing a strong dominant female lead that takes no crap from anyone. And gets things done the way she sees fit. I also love how you can also see the vulnerable soft side still left in her too. This is my first book by Niguel but lord have mercy do I need to fix this!!! I highly recommend this book!
