Songs of the Frontier Warriors =: Kenge Kreshnikesh: Albanian Epic Verse in a Bilingual English-Albanian Edition Reviews
This was a surprisingly quick, but very entertaining read. I can't compare the English translation to the original verse since I don't read Albanian, but to me it read smoothly and eloquently, and was easy to follow and very enjoyable. The book also contains a great introduction to Albanian epic verse, an extensive bibliography, and a list of names and terms that need explanation. All in all, great read, very interesting, good stories, and a whole deal of new information about a less well known epic tradition of the world.
