I had the pleasure of reading this book, which was very well written. The characters and plot were very compelling. I like the way Derek vividly describes the scenes - it is very easy to imagine things. This book makes me want to go back in time and live in an old English mansion or castle. The book is also a great read for children!

I did proof read this earlier in the year, so I'm counting it toward my reading challenge. A fun read for all ages and I had far less self doubt while writing it than other books I've written, which must count for something. Right?
