Chocolate Truffle Mystery Reviews
This one HAS TO BE my favorite so far! There are so many wonderful things happening in this book, it's hard not to drop spoilers everywhere. I'm just so excited about it! Seriously! Read it! You'll love it! Great story! Great characters! Just enough tension to have me glued to the page! Could NOT put it down and didn't want to!
Rating: 3.5 (But, I always raise to higher star!)I did enjoy this book. It was nothing like I thought it would be. I somehow assumed there would be more about Amish culture, or circumstances that were in keeping with what I've already read in Amish novels. But, this story did not belabor Amish culture. It simply told a sweet story.I think, however, that I was missing something when I read it. It is called "Chocolate Truffle Mystery", but I really didn't see any big outstanding mystery to be solved. And, in fact, there was no complete resolution to the story itself. It is the 5th book in an even larger series, and the author chose to leave it quite open-ended.What I really appreciated in this novel is the Christian influence and the clean wholesomeness of it.I recommend this novel to anyone who loves the Amish genre, and is ok with an open-ended conclusion.NOTE: I received an ebook copy of this novel as part of a Book Giveaway, and the review reflects only my own opinions.
Answers to Questions and Looking Ahead to the Future. In Chocolate Truffle Mystery Naomi Miller ties up loose endings left unanswered in the last few books in the series. What caused Mrs Simpson , now Mrs O'Neal to get so upset with Mr O'Neal and leave town unexpectedly ,that only her employees at the Sweet Shop Bakery knew of her where abouts ? Where did Mr O'Neal disappear to leaving his nephew Sean trying to run the Cafe while very short of help ? Then a few weeks later both show up claiming to be married and offering no explanation to anyone ? Then we have Katie who seemed depressed at the close of the Spiced Pumpkin Mystery. Will she and Travis acknowledge that they have feelings for each other ? What about Bella who showed up one day at the Bakery looking for work? Where did she come from and what is her story? For answers to most of these questions you won't want to miss reading Chocolate Truffle Mystery. Naomi leaves enough questions unanswered to peak the readers interest to wait for the next book in the series to be released. The Peach Cobbler Mystery. I have kept up with this series from the very beginning. I love the colorful covers and Naomi's writing style. I'm waiting to see if Katie and Travis will become more than friends. I love the characters in the Amish Sweet Shop Mystery. I recommend this series to all readers of Amish Fiction.
Love is in the air in Chocolate Truffle Mystery with Mr. & Mrs. O’Neal return to Abbott Creek as a married couple (Pumpkin Pie Mystery, book 4). However, that’s not all the unexpected happening in this delightful Amish community. There are unexpected adventures, news, and choices being made. Charming Katie Chupp is busy baking for Valentine’s Day with some amazing recipes and an abundance of orders. With Bella, her new assistant at the Sweet Shop Bakery, everything is going fairly well with handling customers with friendliness and efficiency. This sweet cozy mystery is filled with past issues being spoken of, the characters are wonderful friends and a special Valentine surprise happening. Readers will want to read the books in order to appreciate this cozy mystery series by Naomi Miller. This reader is looking forward to The Peach Cobbler Mystery to see what is happening in Abbott Creek and to see how the choices, news and beginning of dating/married relationships are going. I received an ARC e-book from the author. I was not required to give a positive review but have shared my honest thoughts.
