    I am in constant awe with the fabulousness of this series. Vampire Knight 6 does NOT disappoint and it’s evident that Matsuri Hino has a gift as a storyteller and artist. She does a flawless job of infusing back-story at just the right time to hook you even further into her series. If you’ve never tried a manga series before, Vampire Knight is definitely the way to go. In this installment, Kaname asks Yuki a question that could change her existence and possibly cause her to lose Zero forever. Then, the night students leave the academy for the holidays and Kaname’s back-story is revealed. More light is shed on Shizuka Hio’s lover making it known that the person that contracted Zero’s family to kill Shizuka’s love is the true enemy.I have four more to go, and I’m already certain I don’t think I’ll be able to find another manga series as good as this one. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. :)

    27 February 2013I am kind of hating myself for becoming ridiculously addicted to this silly love-triangle drama. As the story progresses, the volumes are getting intensely dramatic which is making it harder to resist this series. Vampire Knight, Vol. 6 completely sucked me in with the rising tension between Yuki and Zero. And if that wasn't intense enough, the steamy scene with Yuki and Kaname sealed the deal. Sigh. I am such a big sucker. Sucker. Sucker. Sucker. You know a book has you hooked when you start carrying on an inner dialogue in your head with the characters. I kept screaming at Yuki, "NO! Don't choose him! Choose him!" Sigh. Sucker. This has become such a guilty pleasure read.(view spoiler)[I have been Team Zero this entire time, but when Kaname asked Yuki to become a vampire so that he could always be with her, I kind of swooned. Sucker. The chemistry with those two is electrifying. I honestly now don't know who Yuki should be with. I still lean towards Zero. Aw hell, take 'em both! The plot further thickens with some interesting revelations. Yuki goes in search of the truth behind what happened to her ten years ago. When she finds the book that holds the answers, the pages mysteriously go up in flames. I am so curious to know how her past ties in with everything. Kaname's backstory was also fascinating. The truth about his family's demise and his relationship with Aido further built more anticipation to the story. (hide spoiler)]The crazy ending makes me wish I had the next volume at hand. Who is this Senri, but most importantly who the heck is his father? Damn it. I am officially hooked with this series and must get the next few volumes.

    I mean, I know that we all love Zero and everything, but is it possible to love him MORE even when a volume hardly focuses on him? IS IT POSSIBLE?! Volume 6 definitely shifts its attention back to Yuki, exploring more of her backstory and examining a little bit more into her psyche. Additionally, we get to play more in the minds of the secondary characters, namely the Vamps like Aido and Ichijo and Senri AND IT'S AWESOME! Unlike the previous volume, Zero does feel regulated to more of a secondary character, and even though the focus isn't on him he still dominates every panel he's on. (Then again, that could be because I fangirl so hard over him.)Like Volume 4, there is a LOT going on. We've got holiday travel and some sneaky background characters and a monster and Yuki's past and a love reveal and SO MUCH. While I won't lie and say that the flip-flopping between storylines sometimes can get a bit jarring, once your brain gets into the story you get used to it fairly quickly. Lastly, I mean, guys. LOOK AT THAT COVER!Seriously, that thing is a work of friggin' beauty!I don't know what it is specifically about Matsuri Hino, but dear GOD I love that woman's art style. Just...damn!

    While trying to expand my horizons with other manga series from the library, this latest volume came to my mailbox. I was only going to read the first couple of pages...I ended up reading half the volume in one sitting. This series is an example of why I love manga - when it's good, it's good. Not only is the artwork superb (probably the best of any series I've read as of yet), but the characters are engaging and the plot continues to thicken. I've seen Vampire Knight compared to Twilight, but in my mind there is no real comparison beyond having a love triangle involving vampires. However, for those who do like Twilight, you might just want to give this manga series a try. I know I am always trying to get people to read manga, but since I enjoy this format of storytelling so much, I can't help but try to share it with my friends. :) (reader beware, though, there are no "veggie" vampires in this series, thank goodness! finally we have vampires who behave as vampires.)

    I feel like I can't stop reading this. I started to wonder what I'll do then I'll finally catch up with it and will have to wait for a new volume every month..The story picked up a lot in this one. I was happy to see some of the other Night Class characters and a little bit more info on Kaname's past. And it's great that Yuki's trying to discover her past, I'm quite curious to know what's happened there all those years ago. This volume and the one before it was quite intense on the Zero/Yuki front which I loved. I think Zero needs to feed more from her -for his sake not for the fangirl in me believe me ;DPlot's getting more excited, characters keep appearing and making me curious..What more can I ask? Oh wait, I'll ask -pretty please- for Yuki to end up with Zero, thankyouverymuch Matsuri Hino! ;D

    Probably the best shoujo manga ever! It's an amazing story that isn't just for girls. Vampire Knight transcends the normal shoujo demographic.

    Yuki's visions of the blood etc made things slightly creepy and more interesting. As always, the banter involving Aido or Ichijo and Kaname is always hilarious. And also I always love the rare moments when we see intimate scenes between Kaname and Yuki! Ahh!I also liked the insight into Aido's past with Kaname. And once again, the artwork is beautiful! I love the drawings of Aido and Kaname as kids they're so adorable! And I am totally in love with the characters' eyes!

    Spoilers ahead!!!This is for the whole serie so far...I really liked this manga at the beginning. It's about vampires and vampire hunters. I really like the different vampires and their society, which is better explained in the official Fanbook. The vampire hunters are interesting as well. The art is beautiful. The story revolves around a girl Yuki, who is raised by an ex vampire hunter, who is the administrator of a school that have both human teenagers during the day, and young vampires at night. Cross has also taken under his roof another kid, Zero, the sole survivor of a massacre of a vampire hunter family, killed by a powerful vampire. They both act as guardians in the school to protect both the teenagers and the vampires. Zero, who saw his family massacred by a vampire, is obviously not happy about this, and would rather use his vampire hunter skills to kill the vampires instead. The leader of the vampires is Kaname, a pureblood, which very powerful in their kind and also very rare. Kaname found Yuki when she was a child and was chased by a vampire, he killed said vampire and took her to Cross. Yuki has no memory before that. So the story happens at school for the most part, or I should say for the first part. Both Zero and Kaname have their eyes on Yuki and well, Yuki has her eyes on both, who can blame her? Both are handsome. I personally prefer Zero, I have a thing for tormented character. There are a few twists in the manga I did not see coming, the one about Zero being a vampire, and the other about Yuki being a vampire too. It changed the dynamics of some relationships, especially between Zero and Yuki. Zero who already hates what he is and he's angry at himself because of what it makes him do, doesn't take well the news about Yuki... at all. Who can blame Yuki who then throws herself in Kaname's arms? No matter how much I prefer Zero, how far can a relationship go if one is that hateful? So they separate and Zero stays while Kaname and Yuki go away. That is the first part.In the second part is the part where I started to seriously dislike Kaname. In the first part Yuki is an active girl, full of life, responsible and independent. I had noticed moments when Kaname was treating her like a child, which is something Zero has never done, and even Yuki told him about that and told him to stop. So I was really disappointed to see that kaname had treated Yuki for a whole year, while they were living together, like an infantile child and forbid her to go out. It's really sad to see her character regress like that. All her pep is gone. When the serie starts Yuki is 16, so a year later she's 17. It's a way too late to treat someone like a baby. The manga started turning for the worse from the second part and ended really badly. The author completely ignored all the characters and focused on Kaname and Yuki. Also, the art went from good to bad as well, making it looks bad, and the characters all look the same, making it hard to differenciate them. The ending was bad and confusing. It's sad to see that the manga had so much potential but it went AWOL after Yuki leaves with Kaname at the end of the first part.I don't plan to finish getting the manga volumes, I'll keep the good part of the manga and ignore the rest.

    Le cinquième tome bouclait la première partie de l'histoire, soulevait d'autres questions, mais comment mettre en place cette deuxième partie après tout ça? Et bien, Matsuri Hino l'a fait, et le résultat est plutôt pas mal...Maintenant que les bases de cet univers sont bien installées et intégrées, il est temps de s'intéresser à des choses un brin plus complexes, comme le passé de Kaname et de Yûki. Tandis que l'un ne souhaite pas tellement qu'il soit étalé, Yûki cherche par tous les moyens possible à deviner ce qui s'est passé dix ans avant, quand Kaname l'a sauvée de griffes d'un vampire. On entre aussi un peu plus dans l'aristocratie vampire, et le fonctionnement de la guilde des hunters, ce qui nous permet moult révélations (accompagnées de leurs questions).Mais Matsuri a réussi à conserver le côté sombre de ce manga, toute cette noirceur qui s'en dégage, ce qui est plutôt appréciable, tout en gardant quelques notes d'humour avec nos vampire pas trop dégourdis. Il reste à voir comment évoluera la suite de l'histoire, qui promet pas de mal de rebondissements et de nouveautés...

    Really liked it! I don't really remember much since I read some in school and a while before...Anyways, I liked it when the book sets on fire when Yuuki tried to find out about the previous 10 years and how she starts to hallucinate if she tries to dig into her memories. I have a feeling it's Kaname that's done this. I don't know. And the part of Shiki and his mother and about his father, I'm pretty sure that isn't a flashback now that I think of it...I don't know. Oh well! I'll just have to keep on reading!

    What was that ending?? Completely unexpected. I have to admit that I have trouble keeping the characters from the night class separate, so I like that it seems they will be playing a bigger part in this opera of a story. Aidou, Shiki, and Ichijo are beginning to stand out a bit. We're also getting more information on the way the vampire clans interact. But so much is unclear. I really hope that all the pieces will come together by the end of the saga.

    It puzzles me a bit why Yuki isn't closer with her adoptive father. He's raised Yuki for 10 years, since she was 6 and he's very kind and adores Yuki; but she often gives him the brush off. She doesn't remember her parents because her memories were erased, so it's not like she is in the mindset of comparing Cross to her parents and him coming up short.{Reread}

    This was a very good volume in this series. It is getting darker and more intriguing. Everyone has a secret. What is Yuki's secret? What happened in the archives? And what of Kaname's parents? Most manga I tend to read quickly, but not this one. I read and savor every single sentence. Matsuri Hino is a very good mangaka.

    Me sigue maravillando la diferencia que unos cuantos años (vale, algo así como ocho años) pueden hacer en cuanto a tu perspectiva a la hora de entrar en contacto con cualquiera material de ficción. Sospecho que esto es a lo que llaman madurar. Aunque claro, sigo pensando que estoy releyendo esto porque en el fondo me odio.(Still love Kaname, tho)

    I liked how this volume expanded on the world building more and starts to give more personality to other characters. To be honest, Kaname is such a manipulator but this volume really showed his true colors even more. I even thought that when I watched the anime when I was younger.

    In this, the 6th volume of Vampire Knights, the school goes on a break and we begin to learn the history and secrets of the vampires, the guardians and the headmaster. There's not a lot of action as this is a plot thickening episode.

    Opinião geral : https://raquelcollin.wordpress.com/20...A história passa-se no colégio Cross, uma escola especial que divide os alunos em dois grupos: A Day Class (classe do dia) e a Night Class (a classe da noite). O que toda a gente pensa, incluído a day class, é que a única coisa que os difere é que quando a classe da manhã saí para os dormitórios á noite, é altura da classe da noite ir para as aulas. No entanto não é apenas isso. A Night Classe é na verdade uma turma exclusiva a vampiros. Um projecto do presidente Cross que quer que tanto vampiros como humanos se dêem bem, e por isso mesmo desfrutarem da presença comum.Verdade seja dita que as raparigas da Day Class não tem muitos problemas com isso, também proque não sabem que são vampiros, já que depois das aulas vão para os portões da Night Classe só para os verem e gritarem pelos nomes do aluno. Porquê? Porque eles são incrivelmente bonitos. Mas são vampiros.Para estabelecer esta ordem toda o presidente Cross conta com a ajuda dos seus dois filhos adoptivos, Yuuki e Zero. Eles sabem da verdadeira realidade do que se passa na academia, e tentam de tudo para que ambas as classes cumpram as regras, principalmente a da noite.Yuuki é a mais viva dos 2 e é de certa forma a preferida de um vampiro em especifico, Kaname. Isto porque foi ele que a salvou quando ela ia sendo devorada por um vampiro. E o mais estranho de tudo é que essa é a sua primeira memória, ela não tem qualquer uma antes disso. E isso faz com que ela se sinta em divida para com ele, quem sabe para sempre. Já que ele sempre a visitou na academia depois disso.Zero é diferente, é mais reservado e odeia vampiros. Isto porque a sua família foi ataca por um quando ele ainda era pequeno, matando os seus pais e o seu irmão gémeo. Um grande trunfo para os vampiros, já que a sua família faz parte dos Hunters, uma grande equipa especializada na caça de vampiros.A história tem um certo mistério que envolve o Kaname e o que ele realmente quer e sobre a sua ligação a Yuuki, que provoca muito desconforto entre vampiros e humanos. Porque haveria um vampiro da alta sociedade, um pureblood, ter tanto interesse numa humana como a Yuuki? Pois…Vampire_Knight_ch12_05Zero é um mistério também, não se sabe muito bem a relação dele a Yuuki, embora se tenha uma certa percepção, ela não é dita directamente.Rapidamente a história transforma-se num triângulo amoroso e não se sabe bem por quem torcer.O que acontece nos primeiros volumes é uma descoberta do mundo vampírico e humano e como estes estão ligados.Revelando que Kaname tem um acerto prazer em jogos mentais e que faz de tudo para chegar a um final próprio. Ele tem as suas razões para fazer o que faz, mas nem todos os meus explicam o fim. Mas Yuuki não o quer ver como um vampiro mau, aliás ele salvou-a de um vampiro mau, logo ele não é igual a eles.Zero obviamente não concorda. Mas a parte pior vem quando ele já não consegue esconder o que lhe passa nas veias, foram muitos anos a esconder e a lutar. Mas a sua sede vem ao de cima, para admiração de Yuuki que nunca imaginou que algo assim acontecesse a Zero.Este fica então a odeiar-se a ele mesmo. Tendo uma missão agora mais profunda, primeiro matar os vampiros todos e depois matar-se a ele, ou deixar que Yuuki o mate.Tudo isto num tom sério e profundo, mas como é próprio de mangá, tudo tem um lado mais cómico e tal como Matsuri diz numa lateral, ele gosta de escrever piadas, e obviamente elas estão presentes e ainda bem. Acho que faz um grande papel de importância na história.E confesso que inicialmente os desenhos não me chamaram muito a atenção, mas compreendi ser o estilo dela. Algumas parte faziam-me confusão como as mãos maiores que a cara e problemas anatómicos. Mas isso superou-se, e até melhorou bastante. Mas tal como disse é o género dela, logo não mesmo um defeitoSim, vou continuar a devorar os livros e bem terei de ver o anime que já anda ali guardadinho para ver, que entretanto seguiu com uma segunda temporada!

    Το έκτο τεύχος είναι ένα από τα πιο περίπλοκα ως προς την σύνδεσή του με το anime καθώς περιλαμβάνει σκόρπιες σκηνές από τα επεισόδια 2 έως 4 της 2ης season και ανταποκρίνεται στις νύχτες 25 έως 29. Η Yuki με την καλύτερή της φίλη, Yori, βρίσκονται στην αγορά της πόλης όταν ένα παιδάκι εμφανίζεται και η πρώτη, το βοηθάει να βρει τη μητέρα του. Εκείνο την φιλάει για να την ευχαριστήσει και εκείνη, βρίσκεται λιπόθυμη έξω από ένα εγκαταλειμμένο θεωρητικά κτίριο, στο οποίο πρόκειται να λάβει χώρα ένας χορός βρικολάκων στον οποίο ο Zero έχει αναλάβει καθήκοντα φρουρού. Η Yuki συνέρχεται, με τον Kaname να βρίσκεται στο πλευρό της, σε έναν χώρο που της φαίνεται οικείος. Εκείνη, παρακούει τον Kaname και ακολουθώντας το παιδάκι που ξαναεμφανίζεται, γίνεται μάρτυρας του χορού συνειδητοποιώντας πόσοι διάσημοι άνθρωποι είναι στην πραγματικότητα βρικόλακες και πόσο ασήμαντη είναι εκείνη για τον κόσμο του Kaname, ένα αίσθημα που μεγαλώνει όταν τον βλέπει να μιλάει με μια Καθαρόαιμη βρικόλακα, την Sara, και η ζήλια και η απογοήτευσή της χτυπάνε κόκκινο, μια σκηνή που στο anime παραλείφθηκε. Ο Kaname επιστρέφει στη Yuki, θυμωμένος μαζί της που τον παράκουσε και έβαλε τον εαυτό της σε κίνδυνο, αποδεικνύοντας για μια ακόμα φορά την αταραξία του ακόμα και μέσα στο θυμό του αλλά και πόσο πολύ νοιάζεται και ανησυχεί για εκείνη. Η σκηνή αυτή μεταξύ τους, είναι από τις καλύτερες του manga, έντονα φορτισμένη συναισθηματικά με την Yuki σχεδόν να παραδίδεται στα χέρια του και εκείνος, μετά δυσκολίας να συγκρατεί την παρορμητική επιθυμία του να παραδοθεί στα πάθη του. Οι χριστουγεννιάτικες διακοπές έρχονται και όλοι οι μαθητές φεύγουν, με τον Senri να είναι ο μοναδικός βρικόλακας που επιστρέφει σπίτι του, την ίδια ώρα που ο Aido προσπαθεί να βγάλει νόημα από την συμπεριφορά του Kaname, πράγμα που κάνει και ο Kain παράλληλα στην anime εκδοχή, με τον πρώτο να μας χαρίζει flashbacks της μεταξύ τους σχέσης. Στην Ακαδημία, η αληθινή Maria Kurenai ξυπνάει, αποκαλύπτοντας στον Zero πως κάποιος άλλος βρισκόταν πίσω από την δολοφονία των γονιών του, κάτι που στο anime βλέπουμε στο 1ο επεισόδιο της 2ης season ενώ αμέσως μετά, η Yuki με τον Zero έχουν μια έντονη συζήτηση σχετικά με το τι θα γινόταν αν εκείνη επέλεγε να γίνει βρικόλακας, κάτι που ο Zero ξεκαθαρίζει πως δεν θα επιτρέψει να συμβεί ποτέ. Η Yuki προσπαθεί να θυμηθεί το παρελθόν της και ο Zero την παροτρύνει να επισκεφτούν τα αρχεία των κυνηγών και εκεί ανακαλύπτει πως ο θετός της πατέρας, ήταν ένας από αυτούς, την ίδια στιγμή που τα αρχεία που την αφορούν, τυλίγονται στις φλόγες. Ο Zero και η Yuki μοιράζονται άλλη μια αιματηρή σκηνή, λιγότερο sexy από τις άλλες αλλά εξίσου φορτισμένη συναισθηματικά. Μια σάτιρα ανάμεσα σε Yuki και Zero περιέχεται στο τεύχος, όπως ένα side story μιας τηλεοπτικής συνέντευξης του Aido όταν ήταν παιδί, πράγμα που μου επιβεβαιώνει πως μάλλον, δεν θαυμάζει απλά τον Kaname αλλά, τον γουστάρει.

    *I gave this series 4 stars and this review will be on every volume, for my own organizational purposes.* Vampire Knight is a 19 volume, 93 chapter manga series. That's about five or six chapters- titled "nights", if I'm not mistaken, this entire series is consecutive, it's not hopping around from one month to the next- per volume. While it is a lot to read, it's actually a quick one. I didn't realize how little it took me to read all of this until I finished. Generally, I'd say Vampire Knight is well-loved, I've never seen anyone actually hate it. It's usually just a "love it" or "I liked it" kinda series. The concept- a school with vampires- is very unoriginal, but the execution is different, and that's comparing it to the fuckton of vampire related novels (graphic or otherwise) that I've read. The execution is really planned out and the art is fantastic- yes, even the "chibi" art, or the comedy art placed between chapters or at the end of the novels- on top of that. There are some extremely interesting concepts thrown in that I really admire.Plotwise, this has a very slow build-up with the occasional chapter dedicated to some more minor things, mostly for character development and some humor. This series involves a handful of arcs- one of my favorites being the Shizuka arc, holy shit was that intense- but all of them are plot driven. They are wonderfully planned out and have so many plot-twists, that I didn't expect them. There was even one or two in the first volume of this series, though they weren't as surprising, there was still some suspense. As far as characters go, there are a ton of them and most of them are pretty memorable. Even the smallest member of the Night Class- which is the name for the vampires in the Academy- has a role. Whether that's to be a body guard, a servant, even an executioner, you name it. Kaname, Yuki, and Zero are the most present, and the main characters. Some shit happens between those three that I didn't expect whatsoever, but I kept rolling with it. I actually like this series, and while I don't plan on reading it anytime soon, I would recommend it to anyone wanting something a bit different than the usual vampire scene.
