This is a collection of essays loosely grouped around the theme of spirituality in career counseling. Because each of the chapters is written by a different author there is not a lot of continuity. Reading it from start to finish feels rather like going to an academic conference and being forced to sit through every presentation, no matter how good or bad and no matter how much interest you have in the subject matter. The quality of the essays is uneven. A few are quite good, many are mediocre and a couple will simply make you scratch your head. Overall this book is probably only worthwhile if you work in career counseling or a related field and have an interest in the spiritual or religious aspects of vocation, career and calling.
